Responsible Gaming

You are the only person who can decide when gambling stops being entertainment, and a few practical habits make that decision easier to stick to. This page explains what this site does and does not do, and points you to independent organisations if you want support.

Set your limit before you follow any link

Decide the amount you are willing to spend before you start, and treat that amount as already spent rather than as money you expect to get back. This removes the pressure of a running mental total while you play, which is when most poor decisions happen. Once that amount is gone, stop: chasing a loss by spending more to recover it almost always turns a small loss into a larger one, because it replaces a planned decision with an emotional one.

Keep gambling separate from money you cannot afford to lose

Only ever use money you can afford to lose completely, and never gamble with money that is borrowed or earmarked for bills, rent or anything else you depend on. Take regular breaks rather than playing in one long session, since a break gives you a natural point to check whether you still want to continue or whether you are simply continuing out of habit. If gambling stops feeling like entertainment, involve someone else early — a friend, a family member, or one of the organisations below — rather than waiting until the amounts involved have grown.

Know what this site can and cannot do for you

This site is a set of static pages. It has no account, no form and no server-side application, so it cannot switch on, check or enforce controls such as deposit caps, loss caps, reality checks, cooling-off periods or self-exclusion — those belong to an account you hold at an operator, and you arrange and manage them there, not here. Nobody's age is verified on this site and no gambling takes place on it; any age check happens at the destination you are redirected to. Every page here repeats an eighteen-and-over restriction, including the front page and the end of every operator listing, and each of the ten operator listings closes with the same line: check availability and the current terms at the destination before claiming anything, because eligibility rules and terms apply there and can change without notice. From the moment you follow an operator link, the destination's own rules, checks and account controls apply, not anything published here.

Find independent help

Every page of this site, including this one, carries links to three independent gambling-help organisations: gambleaware.nsw.gov.au, gamblinghelponline.org.au, and responsiblegambling.vic.gov.au. Unlike the operator links elsewhere on this site, these three are the only outbound links that are not commercial: they carry no sponsored marking, they are set to nofollow, and they open in a separate tab on the organisations' own websites. This site receives nothing when you follow them.
